Miriam Weeden LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
I am licensed in both Texas and California as a Marriage and Family therapist with a master's degree from Western Seminary. Since 2010, I have served thousands of individuals, couples, and families with the goal of helping them to discover satisfaction and meaning in their lives. Whether you, a friend or relative are depressed, anxious, angry, stressed, or confused, my desire is to help every client to overcome their personal challenges and thrive in their relationships. I will draw upon my experience as a Clinical Supervisor and from my own marriage as I come alongside couples. My marriage has been a great source of growth and support for me, and I also desire a healthy marriage for each of my clients.
Research shows that applying clinically tested and CBT evidenced-based interventions mends unhealthy relationships that cause both emotional and physical stress. Healthy relationships enhance and improve overall well-being. I offer relationship counseling, couple therapy, and individual counseling for anxiety, depression, PTSD, work stress, anger, interpersonal issues, parenting skills, and relationship issues.
About me: I immigrated to the United States after achieving the American dream of an education. I have an extensive experience working with immigrants, refuges, adjustment and acculturation issues. I'm bilingual in Arabic. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, cooking, and simple walks.
